Average cost of a website when you go with a legit web dev company:
$10,000 – $15,000
Whats included:
Just the website.
Whats NOT Included:
No hosting, no management, no updates, no SSL, no backups
Over 5 years you will spend approx $9000 with us.
The average business redesigns their website once per year, but lets say that they redeisgn it every 3 years. That means that in a 5 year time frame they will spend $20,000+ if they decide to go with another company.
This does not include hosting, management, updates, ssl, backups.
If you factor those in –
- Yearly Hosting: $100
- Yearly Management: $2400 (includes updates)
- Yearly SSL: $125
- Yearly Backups and Storage: $60
- Yearly Site Monitoring: $165
Your yearly costs on top of the website are now: $2850. Over a 5 year period that would put the cost at: $14,250. This doesnt include the website.
What is “Yearly Management and Updates”?
This is basically you putting a developer on retainer to assist in plugin updates, wordpress udpates and any changes you need done to your site beyond adding verbiage and pictures.
Some of the stuff above is NOT required to have a website. But its what we include with our websites so if we are going to compare apples to apples it would makes sense to show the true cost of what they are getting.
Our cost over 5 years: $9000
Their cost over 5 years: $34,850
Their cost over 5 years if they never redesign their website: $24,850
